Pure BFL Plaid

£550.00Price
  • A traditional Shepherd’s Plaid woven in Northumbrian Tartan (aka Border Check) with broad striped details around the edging.  This plaid is based on a traditional garment worn by hill farmers in North Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.  Woven in a mid-weight Blue-faced Leicester wool in a traditional twill weave, this plaid is a unique item which will appeal to those with an interest in history or traditional costume.  It is over three metres long and is designed to be worn wrapped around the body.

I have written a lot about other plaids that I have woven so pop over to my Portfolio page for more interesting facts about the Shepherd’s Plaid.  This weight of this particular plaid falls mid-way between the heavy plaid for Keith and the light-weight Piper’s plaid.
