The Sufo Wrap.

This project was to produce a small collection of plain weave blankets using yarn from the client's own sheep; the gorgeous Castlemilk Moorit/Shetland yarn was spun and dyed at The Border Mill.

My client had good ideas when it came to the design of the colour sequence of the blankets and I was easily able to translate her sketches to actual woven designs on the loom. The simple striped warp was enhanced with the addition of a broad stripe at the beginning of the end of the blanket which mirrored the selvedge stripe, giving the blankets a contemporary look.
